B'Nai Jeshurun Synagogue
Following the collapse of the original highly ornamental plaster ceiling, Cosler Theatre Designs was brough on as part of the team to design a new and modest renovation for the synagogue. Originally seated with pews on an axial layout, the renovated space has a flat floor with stacking chairs. This arrangement permits many ways to set the room to the occasion from formal services to chairs and tables for weddings or Bar-Mitzvahs.

New architectural lighting was also included in the renovation. A basic downlighting system was provided, as well as uplighting to create mystery and allude to the configuration of the original ceiling. Spotlighting of the celebrant area, the poly-chromed arch, and highlighting donor plaques and religious icons were also included in the lighting scheme. A new dimming system with preset stations made accessing various light levels easy.
